We recently had a task where we asked Roamlers to create their own memes based on their experiences with Roamler. For those who are not familiar with the term, a meme is generally a captioned image which is created to express a typical feeling, situation, or person. A popular example is ‘LOLcats’ or ‘The Success Kid’ (which many of you used here!). We got a lot of funny and creative submissions which we want to share. So without further ado, here are our top 10 Roamler memes!
Roamler A. Lindsay with a hilarious and relatable feeling from the grocery store.

Thank you all who made and submitted memes for this task! Your creativity really impressed us on this one. We hope you had fun – we really had a blast reviewing them! Happy Roamlering!
The name ‘Roamler’ comes from the word ‘roaming’, which is an essential part of being a Roamler. Whether you are performing a scout task (with a fixed location), or an explorer task (any location outside of your home), Roamler is guaranteed to take you to new places in your area. Locations are a very important part of what Roamler is and so we have put together a list of top 4 location tips to help you have the best Roamler experience possible!
Top location tips
- Map view – In your app, you will see a little map icon in your ‘tasks’ screen. If you click on this, you will get a map view of all the tasks available in your area. This is useful for planning a ‘Roamlering route’.
Please note, sometimes the pins on the map are slightly off, so always pay attention to the location’s address more.
2. Closed locations – Very occasionally you might come across a location that is permanently closed. For example, it burnt down, or a totally new kind of business now occupies the building (does not apply to simply a name change). In this case, the best approach is to still accept/continue the task at the address, take a photo of the building/site, and inform us in the last optional comments section that the location is closed. Then submit the task. This way we have photographic evidence that the site is closed, and we know it is the right address because of the GPS tracking of your photo.
3. Opening/Closing times – Always make sure that the location you are visiting to perform a task will be open when you arrive there! This is especially the case with bar/restaurant checks.
4. Sent away – For most Roamler checks, the Roamlers must act as mystery shoppers, meaning the staff should not be aware that they are performing a retail audit. On very rare occasions, however, Roamlers are spotted by the staff and told they can no longer perform the task – sometimes half way through the task! In this situation, the correct steps would be to refer the questions of the staff to UKsupport@roamler.com, leave the store, continue the check outside, and inform us in the optional comments section at the end of the task what happened. Then submit the task as per normal.
